About the Book
A McCutcheon Family Novel and part of the Mail-Order Brides of the West, a collaboration between authors Caroline Fyffe and Debra Holland.
Getting ‘Hitched’ Has Never Been So Much Fun!
The well-educated daughter of a lawyer, Trudy Bauer, arrives at the St. Louis based Mail-Order Brides of the West agency full of excitement for an adventure of a lifetime. She befriends the agency’s maid, Evie Davenport, and the two form a strong and lasting friendship. They vow to stay in contact through letters when Evie takes hold of her destiny and arranges a marriage on the sly. Each brave young woman is ready to face whatever an unknown groom and life in Montana can throw her way.
In Evie, house servant Evie Davenport travels by stagecoach to Y Knot, Montana in a McCutcheon Family Novel. In Holland’s book, bride-to-be Trudy Bauer rides the train to Sweetwater Springs, in a Montana Sky Novel. Through their correspondence, the friends keep each other abreast of their hardships, trials and tribulations–some of heartbreak, some of love.

What People Are Saying...
“Loved yet another book by Caroline Fyffe. I’ve just purchased book 4 of this series, so far I’ve enjoyed each of them. Gotta go read now.”
– Marilyn Fell, Amazon Review
“This is a great story. There are some twists and turns that you wouldn’t expect; which keep you reading long past when you needed to stop. This is a good, clean story line that I would recommend to anyone who is an avid reader! I personally appreciate that there is nothing grafic or any bad language in this book.”
– M. Moore-Ca. USA, Amazon Review
“This novel was a delight to read…one of the best!!!”
– merylbabcock, Amazon Review
“What I loved about this book the most was that you felt like you were really there. There was enough attention to detail that you could relate to feelings and surroundings of the bride and groom. It was sweet and a wonderful read. It dealt with regular things like insecurities and how these 2 overcame them. Loved it and would definitely recommend to friends and family.”

Author's Note
Mail-Order Brides of the West is a series author Debra Holland and I collaborated on while spending a week together at scenic Big Bear, CA. Under the tall pines and with a beautiful view of the lake, we couldn’t help but feel creative. As you know, we both love the Old West—and especially the young women who bravely ventured forth to help tame it. Each bride-to-be has her own reasons for traveling to an untamed, unfamiliar place—and wed a complete stranger. Perhaps it’s a difficult situation at home, the approaching stigma of “old maid,” or plain old wanderlust. In our first books, you’ll meet Evie and Trudy, our two brides, as well as the founder and matron of the agency: the staunch yet loveable Mrs. Seymour, who sends them west to meet their grooms in Y Knot and Sweetwater Springs. We hope you love the new series as much as we do! Two authors, two brides, two intertwined love stories!
